| | Wisd6ms Newsletter - Edition 13 September 09 Healing from the inside out ‘Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food’ the wise words of Hippocrates referred to as “the father of medicine” Still to this day I believe there is great truth to his words. But what if after religiously adopting this methodology and ensuring your food choices are 100% natural, either organic or biodynamic, is free of GMO, gluten, additives, colorings, flavoring, preservatives, chemicals, stabilizers, hydrogenated oils, rancid vegetable oils, sugar and processed crap and you are honoring your metabolic needs… yes the diet of a Saint. Yet you still feel tired, bloated, fart like a trumpet, belch like a pig, never feel 100% satisfied, your joints always ache and you suffer from brain fog. Does that mean Hippocrates was wrong or that you’re not a saint and therefore it won’t work for you! Thank fully it means neither. But this was my experience for some years before I learnt that for food to truly be my medicine and cure me of these symptoms I had to first address the health of my gut, only then would the healing and preventive powers of my food choices really work.
